A4Tech X7-747H vs. Gigabyte M6900 - Best Gaming Mouse at the lowest cost

Most popular, yet cheap gaming mouse in BD is the A4tech X7-747H. It has got 3600dpi, plentiful for FPS games like Call of Duty, Counter Strike or Battlefield, etc. Recently the market has been flooded with Gigabyte mouse. These mice also provide 3000dpi and above for a better gaming experience. OCBD decided to have a showdown between the two. Here is the result:
Features: First of all lets talk about the similarities. Both the mice have 3000+ dpi. A4tech X7-747H comes with max dpi of 3600 whereas the Gigabyte comes with 400 less, which means max dpi of 3200. This wont affect your choice if you dont use more than 1600dpi. Both the A4tech and Gigabyte has 2 extra buttons on the let size, useable with the thumb. You can adjust settings like reload, volume up and down, also set one of them to shut down or open a file. These buttons are pretty handy during gaming or photo editing. The mice also have gold platted USB connectors and good quality cables for more long lasting usage. The major difference starts from its DPI adjusting button. The Gigabyte has 2. One as + to increase the DPI and the second one as - to decrease, where as the A4tech has only one. Thanks to this, on the Gigabyte you can shift from a lower DPI to a higher one pretty easily. On the A4tech you have to scroll around the higher DPI settings to get back to a lower setting, which can be a distraction during gaming. However there is the option to excluded DPI settings that you do not use on the A4tech which makes up for the inconvenience. A4tech also has an extra advantage of weight adjust. There are small weights of 15.5 grams that you can add or remove to increase or decrease the weight of your mouse, making it more personalized.

Grip: This is also where the mice are deeply apart. The Gigabyte has a claw type grip, good for large hands, whereas the A4tech has  a slope, which does not provide a good grip during intense gaming session. Both the mouse come with rubbered sides to increase grip.

Gaming Experience: No matter how many features a gear boasts, all comes down to the gaming experience. Both the mice were tried out in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (Hard Mode), Call of Duty: Mordern Warfare 2 and Homefront at 800-1600 variable DPI on a Razer Sphex gaming desktop skin. The Gigabyte provided a good grip and easy DPI shift. The A4tech makes up for the bad grip and inconvenient DPI adjusting button, by being more controllable as the weight seems to be just right, since it was manually configured.

Final Verdict: It was a close call but there can only be one winner. Both the Gigabyte M6900 and A4tech X7-747H are value for money products. However, we at OCBD found the A4tech to be more comfortable. Although the features don't vary that much, but we got a better gaming experience out of the A4tech. So the
crown goes to A4Tech X7-747H.

Nvidia GTX 560 vs. GTX 560ti

Nowadays, BD gamers should be proud that latest hardware's are arriving quite early. Even a year back, new hardwares had to be imported personally from India or other countries. But be glad to know that BD market has flourished and recent cards such as Nvidia GTX 550ti, (released in March 2011) and 560, 560ti, 570, 580's are available, and for ATI fans there are HD 6850, 6870, 6950 and 6970. However deciding to buy one takes a lot of thinking as you want the best performance in your fixed budget.

Although ATI cards are more popular in BD as it provides good performance at low budget, the market is full of good Nvidia cards. Brand such as Gigabyte, ASUS and MSI are most available, with their range of GT210, GTS450, GTX550ti, GTX560, GTX460, GTX560ti, GTX570 and the exotic GTX580, offering Nvidia cards to users at any budget.

If your budget is 20k up, (considering you already have a 500watt gaming PSU) and you are thinking about getting an Nvidia, you can opt for the new GTX560. At 22000/- (Gigabyte GTX560 SOC), its a very good card. Scores of GTX560 in 3DMark Vantage and game benchmarks are quite good. So most games should run at good frame rate even at high graphics. However, there is also the GTX560ti. Released before the 560, the 560ti comes with better texture and pixel fill rate. So if u can pay a little more, you could get the 560ti, keeping in mind that it requires 170watt of 12.2v running current, where as 560 needs 150watt.

Whether the 560ti is worth the extra few bucks, is for you to decide. Because both the cards are built on the GTX500 chip. Both are 256bit cards with 128.256 GB/sec of memory bandwidth. The extra pixel and texture doesn't produce a noticeable difference. What you should actually look for is what brands provide better cooling at a faster, overclocked GPU and memory clocks among ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte.

ATI Radeon 6 series vs. 5 series vs. 4 series

When you want to purchase a new graphics card, you consider a lot of factors such as engine and memory clock, memory type, memory bandwidth, 128 or 256 bit, etc. After considering all these, if you choose to buy an ATI, as they provide performance at low cost, you stuck on the final leg of the decision making – whether HD5670 or HD6670? In Bangladesh customers would prefer 5670. The performance does not vary so much, and it’s hardly noticeable. Both the cards are support DirectX11. However, with the 6 series, you do get the updated product driver. Therefore, more games are compatible and latest software’s are available. Moreover, you do get the pride of owning a 6 series card.

If you are planning to save a few bucks, you can also find second hand HD4670 or 4850 cards. The driver is back dated and there is no pride in using an old card. However, if you do buy one, it would be money well spent. There is not much of a hardware difference with 4670 and 5670, except some minor factors and off course, the driver. You can run games on a 40” LED TV with a HD4950, but obviously sacrificing the glitter and glam of DX11.

If you are considering to buy an ATI card with a budget below 10k, I would suggest you to buy a 1GB DDR5 HD6670 at 9500/-. At 5800/- you will get a HD5570. No need to buy a 6570, as both come with DDR3 but the 6 series costs a grand more.
